Kate Cook posts about Girl Geeks’ December events – laser paper workshop, party & more!.

Sunday 11th December, 2-5pm, tickets £5 including materials

A few years ago I did a session with this group, who organise some interesting events.  I follow them by email so I am posting this in case you also want to follow their work.  Here is their own introduction:

“Manchester Girl Geeks is a not-for-profit group which organises networking events, talks and hands-on workshops for women and girls with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Whilst our events are aimed at girls and women of all ages, we are happy to welcome boys and men, especially if they come with a girl geek. Please note that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.”
