You are invited to attend the first symposium sponsored by the Sylvia Pankhurst Gender Research Centre entitled ‘Feminist Reflections’, taking place on July 21st at Manchester Metropolitan University
The day will comprise a mix of panels and talks with the following prestigious guest speakers:

Alison Jaggar: Gendered Perspectives on Global Justice
Marian Verkerk: Family Ethics of Care
The panel discussions will explore a range of diverse topics including:
- The Family
- Global justice and gender
- Constructing women’s identities
- Abortion rights
- The subject of bodies
The aim of this event is to bring together individuals who share an interest in addressing feminist ethics and feminist frameworks in relation to contemporary societal issues. Interests might fall into a range of broadly defined categories, including Ethics of Care; Global Justice; Health Care; Technologies; Community; Identity and Feminist Methodologies.
