The British Academy has launched a new, competitive research funding call, Tackling Slavery, Human Trafficking and Child Labour in Modern Business, in partnership with the Department for International Development (DFID).
The call invites proposals from the best researchers (across all disciplines within the humanities and social sciences) in the UK and overseas, to develop and lead research projects focused on the challenge of eradicating forced labour, ending modern slavery and human trafficking, and securing the elimination of the worst forms of child labour in modern business.
This programme will fund excellent policy-oriented research geared towards filling the evidence gaps in current understanding of what works in addressing modern slavery, human trafficking and child labour, and enabling UK policy and business communities to develop effective interventions.
Applications must be submitted online using the British Academy’s electronic Grant Application and Processing (eGAP) system.
Application Deadline: Wednesday 19 July 2017
Institution Approval Deadline: Thursday 20 July 2017
