MetroPolis announces second Chancellor’s Fellowship Scheme call

After the successful first call for applications, MetroPolis are pleased to announce that the second call for applications for the Chancellor’s Fellowship Scheme is open.

We match researchers with policy-making organisations for a period of between 6 weeks to 6 months. We can provide costs up to £9000 per placement to cover expenses including accommodation, travel, paying for research assistant time, or purchasing equipment to enable/support the work. The individual placements can be part of the academic’s normal duties or a fully-embedded experience. The placements are designed to enable high-level research input into policy development, but also facilitate knowledge exchange between the academic and the host organisation in terms of research methodologies, academic expertise, policy-making processes and user environment experience. The ultimate outcome for the academic will be input into big policy challenges.

Fellows are asked to nominate a chosen placement organisation that they have already established links with or are endeavouring to establish links with currently. We welcome a number of approaches and experimental models, and will support a flexible approach that takes into account individual Fellows workloads and circumstances.
